ABS-CBN has 7 Digital TV channels but 5 of it were exclusive channels including Cinemo, YEY, DZMM Teleradyo, Knowledge Channel and KBO (Kapamilya Box office). These exclusive channels of ABS-CBN can only be accessed through their proprietary Digital TV box product, the ABS-CBN TV Plus 'Ang Mahiwagang BlackBox' (The Magical Black Box) as well as their digital TV dongle product, ABS-CBN TVplus Go. While Solar Entertainment has 14 exclusive channels including ETC, Jack TV, Gone Viral TV, ANIPLUS, BOO, HISTORY Channel, Outdoor Channel, NBA Premium TV, Basketball TV, SOLAR SPORTS, ZEE SINE, K-PLUS, ZooMoo, and MTVph, and these are accessible through EasyTV Super Digibox. So far ABS-CBN and EasyTV are the only channels implementing this exclusive channel system, we still don't know if other TV stations will also implement a system like this, but for now let's just enjoy watching our favorite TV channel in crystal clear view using Digital TV box.

Digital TV was implemented in the Philippines since the early 2000s. The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has adopted the ISDB-T standard for the Philippine television. ISDB-T is a Japanese standard for digital television (DTV) and digital radio used by the country's radio and television networks. The NTC chose to use the Japanese standard ISDB-T for digital television in the country in Memorandum Circular 02-06-2010, noting its capability to 3 levels of categorized modulation (audio, video and data services) to fixed, portable and handheld devices exclusive of the necessity for a supplementary communication facility. Most of the TV Stations in the Philippines provide SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition).
